10 Commandments
The Texan 10 Commandments of Hunting and Fishing Seasons
1) Get your hunting and fishing license. You don’t want to end up in this book – Poachers, Crooks and Other Turkeys, although it is a good book from our friends at Lone Star Outdoor News and we highly recommend it!
2) Get feeder(s) in working order & loaded before season begins.
3) Get rifle/muzzle-loader sighted in.
4) Practice archery skills before season starts.
5) Get hunting area ready prior to the season starting, trim brush, fix roads, etc.
6) Let your boss and everyone else know that business hours are subject to change during hunting and fishing season.
7) Join Texas State Rifle Association – www.tsra.com and support your Texas Game Officers. If you are not in Texas you have our condolences, but you can still join the NRA – www.nra.com and obey your game laws!
8) Take the kids and pass it down, they are the future.
9) Don’t tell the wife what you’re doing too soon and remember it is always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission, she will understand eventually, if she does not diamonds usually work.
10) And the most important commandment of all, don’t wait until the start of Dove season to start thinking about deer hunting, call SDS Outdoors today for all your outdoor needs before season starts. We have all the stuff you want including your new luxury deer blind, deer blind windows, that new bowfishing boat you’ve been wanting and gun range observation towers.
